Some Chilean Catholics are lucky enough to enjoy an exceptionally refined and purified form of religious faith. One that happily reconciles God and Mammon in a way even Jesus himself couldn't have anticipated.

A Parque Arauco, Chile shopping mall has a Catholic church inside. However prays the loudest gets discount coupons. Attending confession can win you a free McDonald's burger or bar of chocolate.

At Sunday morning mass the priest announces the latest bargains and sales being offered in the mall.
